The Fastest Internet Speed Ever Recorded Is 1.4 Terabits per second

Back in 2014, a group of scientists in the UK created the world's fastest real-world internet connection. The connection, which was created using commercial-grade fiber optics cables, reached speeds of 1.4 terabits per second. Yes, that's a jaw-dropping .175 terabytes a second.
At the speed, you would be able to download 44 uncompressed HD films (4GB each) in one second. Heck, you could even download the entire English text version of Wikipedia in .06 seconds. Pretty impressive, right?
